Who We Are
Our Mission
Promise Landing Farm (PLF) is a creative engine and community in which people of all capabilities can gather and share a love for horses, in the process gaining a deeper understanding and kindness for themselves and others.
We serve community members with disabilities, our nation’s veterans, military families, and first responders with the goal of meeting each rider’s physical, emotional, and/or social needs.
Promise Landing Farm is led by its Board of Directors, talented PATH-certified instructors, and dedicated volunteers.
Our Values
Inclusion
Individuals with and without disabilities have meaningful interactions and participate in all aspects of our community.
Dignity
We value, honor and respect each other, our horses, and the farm at all times.
Creativity
We actively pursue new ways of being with horses and the natural world by embracing opportunities to try new ideas, models and collaborations.
Excellence
Every member of our inclusive community does their best and is empowered to become their best.
Riding Toward Growth
We welcome riders of all ages and abilities, and we strive to create an atmosphere where physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Our horseback lessons are highly beneficial for developing skills such as assertiveness, emotional awareness, empathy, stress tolerance, problem-solving, self-actualization, independence, self-esteem, social responsibility, interpersonal relationships, body awareness, balance, and muscle tone.
