Kaitlyn McComb

Volunteer Coordinator

Originally from Lexington, Virginia, Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Mount Union with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Business in 2021. She excelled as a student-athlete, captaining the Purple Raiders’ six-time Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Women’s Lacrosse team during her senior year. After college, Kaitlyn worked with the Washington Commanders, generating nearly $1 million in ticket revenue, and continued to build her skills in sales, operations, and customer service across various industries, including private aviation.

Kaitlyn’s love for horses began in childhood, and her passion grew when her in-laws gifted her riding lessons in 2021 — leading her to lease three horses, work at a local barn, and eventually purchase her own horse, Lincoln. Kaitlyn’s journey into equestrian life deepened as she gained hands-on knowledge in horse care and horsemanship. Her introduction to therapeutic horsemanship in 2024 further cemented her desire to work in this field. Now at Promise Landing Farm, Kaitlyn’s background in sales and operations, coupled with her dedication to horses, enables her to build a well-organized and supportive volunteer program.

Kaitlyn’s confidence, resilience, and organization define her approach to work, while her competitive yet understanding and sociable personality endears her to volunteers and participants alike. For Kaitlyn, being at Promise Landing Farm is a way to combine her passion for horses with her commitment to meaningful impact. She loves seeing how horses inspire growth and joy in volunteers and participants, and she believes Promise Landing is essential for providing these experiences to people of all backgrounds, especially those who may not otherwise have access to them.
