Our Second Home 

At the end of 2021, Promise Landing Farm teamed up with Melwood, a leading employer and advocate for people with disabilities, to have PLF assume leadership of equestrian programming at the Melwood Recreation Center in Nanjemoy, MD. This collaboration allows both organizations to focus on their strengths, making it possible to serve more people more effectively. ​PLF is an important part of Melwood’s Camp Accomplish, Access Adventures, and Operation Tohidu programs.

Facilities and Amenities

  • 7 stalls with fans

  • 70’ x 200’ indoor arena with sand/rubber footing

  • Covered mounting ramp adjacent to arena

  • Direct access to 10 miles of trails and fields for hacking on the MRC property

  • Cross-ties in the barn aisle allow multiple places to prepare horses for lessons, either individually or in groups

  • ADA accessible restrooms on-site

  • Climate-controlled viewing area
