Michael specializes in combining the principles of natural horsemanship with English performance to give horses and riders a solid foundation in their partnerships. His philosophy is, natural horsemanship is not a series of tricks and techniques, it is understanding how horses think and learn and applying it to our training. Whether it is training foals, starting young horses under saddle, fixing “problem” horses, or developing horses for competition, the principles are the same.

Michael is truly gifted, and is able to translate the nuanced skillset he has in such a brilliant way that students feel empowered and clear on handling their horses with confidence and empathy.
